SIEGEFRONT: Homeworld
A downloadable game for Windows
SIEGEFRONT: Homeworld is a fictional, real-time 3D warfront simulator that enacts the future human invasion of a distant alien world. It emphasizes the vast bio-technological differences between species, and their resultant effects in conflict.
I originally started made this for MechJam IV (2022), but recently put a lot of work into getting it closer to finished.
I made it using Unreal Engine 5, and Space Engine was used for the space shots.
Inspiration for this game was taken from:
- the legendary Transformers: War for Cybertron (2010),
- aspects of class structure in the abandoned Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017),
- a myriad of combat elements from the controversial Mass Effect 3 (2012), and
- of course, MechAssault (2002), the first game on the original Xbox Live.
HUGE UPDATE :
- Added Game Modes "Battle Royale" (melee combat only) and "Training Facility" (tutorial).
- however, Game Modes "SIEGE" and "Custom Battle" are STILL IN DEVELOPMENT.
Late 2024 update:
- bug fixes, overhaul of tutorial mode, & misc. improvements to Battle Royale mode including re-balancing Hero units (nerfed Empress, buffed Ultima)
System Requirements:
OS: Windows (64-bit)
CPU: Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster
RAM: 8 GB memory
GPU: DirectX 12 (or 11) compatible graphics card
