METABUG STUDIO

Pseudo-lifelike game-testing simulator (and its embedded puzzle world).

As the newest hire at the brand new game-development startup known as "Metabug Studio," you are called in to be the dedicated QA Tester on a new project for the 2021 Github GameOff game jam.  After finally arriving in the map-elusive Metabug Hills, you meet your new partner in gamedev and realize he's even more eccentric than you thought.  Maybe you'll actually have to pull your weight on this one...

SPOILER:   This game is a META WORLD for the game "Arachtron" by Metabug Studio in which the player actually helps develop the game for the game jam (the same jam to which this game is a submission). As such, this title INCLUDES Arachtron in a way that makes it playable at varying stages of functionality depending on story progress. Please check out the finished game at your leisure!

Post-Jam Update:  This game did not get finished due to time limitations (and I suppose a touch of over-scoping in earlier stages). As it stands this simply represents what I was able to put together in a month with the help of some friends. Do enjoy, it was actually pretty close to finished (for a game jam game)!
